The Queensland governement has taken a big leap in sexual rights & consent culture by criminalising the act of stealthing earlier this week. Stealthing is the act of secretly removing or not using a condom, without the knowledge or consent of the other person.
This change will promote justice, prevent crime and start important conversations. Legislation and policy change like this has the power to shift culture around relationships, sex and consent.
So, how can you be a part of this shift and explore these important topics? One of the biggest drivers of this shift will be the education of young people.
Our safe & healthy relationship cards are a great way to explore these topics safely and are intended to help guide and prompt discussions. The cards explore 22 topics all related to relationships. Some of the cards explore consent, how we can ask for consent and how positive consent looks and feels. Queensland now calls this affirmative consent.
So start exploring with young people now, be a part of the change & empower safe decision making!
